Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church
All parish Masses have recommenced following Bishop Vetter's guidelines for wearing masks and social distancing.
Parish is open from 10AM-2PM, Mon - Fri.
Confession - Wednesday following the 12PM Mass or by appointment
Roman Catholic Church of East Helena, Montana
We have received permission from Bishop Vetter to begin having Masses again. We will have Mass during our regularly scheduled times: 4:30PM Saturday, 8:00AM and 10:15AM Sunday. Masses at St. John the Baptist, Clancy and Our Lady of the Lake are concluded for the season.
Bishop Vetter has affirmed that effective immediately, masks or face coverings must be worn in parish related indoor spaces open to the public in keeping with the directives of the State of Montana. This is a public health issue, we are seeking to ensure the safety and health of everyone.
So, when our spaces—churches, offices, schools—are open to the public, masks or face coverings must be worn by all ages 5 and older, this includes Mass. It also applies to outdoor gatherings of greater than 50, where social distancing cannot be maintained. Reminder: social events/gatherings, potlucks, coffee/donuts are not allowed at this time.
Masks or face coverings should be used by everyone entering or leaving the building, during Mass and while in hallways, bathrooms, and common areas. The parish is not able to provide masks. If you arrive without one you will be turned away.
We will also have daily Mass at noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. HOWEVER, we have restrictions to follow so that we are in compliance with state requirements.
Additionally, the Bishop will celebrate a private, livestreamed Mass: at noon Monday through Friday; Saturday at 5:00 pm and Sunday at 11:00 am from the Cathedral. You can view these livestreams on the Diocesan website, https://diocesehelena.org/video-and-livestream/.
Bishop Vetter - "Even though many things have had to be canceled, love is not one of them. Do what you can to help others, especially the elderly, the disabled, the poor and the isolated, taking all necessary precautions. As Christians, it is our duty to help others."
Ss. Cyril and Methodius
The church will be open for personal prayer Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., as long as social distancing is maintained.
Confessions at Ss. Cyril and Methodius
