PRAYER FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER

Gracious God, Lord of the harvest, in love you give us this meal to be our joy and delight.

We thank You for the goodness of the people of this country and for the spirit of freedom and justice that shapes our nation.

We thank You for the beauty and bounty of the land, for our towns and cities, for our fields and farms, our mountains and rivers.

We thank You for our work, and for our rest, for one another, and for our families, friends and homes.

We thank You for the loving hands that have brought this food and prepared this meal.

For all that we have spoken, and all that we keep in our hearts, accept our thanksgiving.

We make this prayer in the Name of Jesus Christ the Lord.   Amen.
